Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Petism ("we", "us") collects when you use the Petism mobile app and website, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
Petism is operated by Siddharth Jain, sole proprietor, trading as PETISM, 950/1, Napier Town, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh 482001, India.
1. Information we collect
You give us directly

We do not collect
We do not collect your card number, UPI ID, or bank details. Payments are handled entirely inside Razorpay's interface, and Razorpay returns only a transaction reference to us. See section 3.
We do not use advertising identifiers, run ad networks, or sell personal data to anyone.
2. How we use it
- To operate your account and authenticate you
- To fulfil orders and service bookings, including sharing what a delivery partner or groomer needs to complete the job
- To send transactional notifications about orders, bookings, and deliveries
- To provide customer support
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To fix crashes and improve reliability
- To meet tax, accounting, and other legal obligations
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum each party needs to do its job. None of them may use your data for their own purposes.

We also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
4. Where your data is stored
Data is stored on servers operated by our infrastructure providers. Some of our processors — including Google — operate infrastructure outside India, so your data may be processed abroad under contractual safeguards requiring protection equivalent to this policy.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data — for as long as your account exists.
- Order & transaction records — up to eight years after the transaction (statutory tax requirement).
- Crash diagnostics — up to 90 days.
- OTP logs — up to 90 days (fraud investigation).
6. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from within the app: Profile → Delete Account. This removes your profile, pets, addresses, saved preferences, and push tokens.
Financial records tied to completed orders are retained for the statutory period in section 5 and are unlinked from your profile rather than erased.
You can also request deletion by writing to care@petism.in.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with
- Ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data
- Ask us to erase data we no longer need
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave — including revoking location, photo, or notification permission at any time in your device settings
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated
- Complain to the Data Protection Board of India

We respond to grievances within 30 days.
8. Security
Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit with TLS; the app is built with cleartext HTTP disabled. One-time passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Access to production data is limited to staff who need it.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
9. Children
Petism is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to care@petism.in and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We will post any change here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.
